Financial Assistance Player Agreement

The purpose of the financial assistance program is to ensure that all players have the opportunity to participate in club soccer regardless of financial circumstances. Players and families receiving assistance are expected to represent the club positively and uphold the standards outlined below.

By accepting financial assistance, players and parents/guardians agree to the following expectations:

Player Expectations
Sportsmanship & Conduct

Players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times toward:

  • Teammates
  • Coaches
  • Referees
  • Opposing teams

Unsportsmanlike behavior, repeated disciplinary concerns, or conduct that negatively reflects on the club may impact continued eligibility for financial assistance.

Players receiving assistance are expected to:

  • Attend practices consistently and arrive on time
  • Attend scheduled games, tournaments, and team events
  • Communicate absences promptly with coaches or team managers
  • Demonstrate effort, commitment, and a positive attitude throughout the season

Repeated unexcused absences or lack of participation may result in a review of assistance eligibility.

Volunteer & Leadership Expectations

To help strengthen our club community, all players age U13 and older who receive financial assistance are required to complete leadership/service hours during the seasonal year. Required hours are as follows:

  • Partial scholarship recipients: minimum of 3 leadership/service hours

Leadership/service opportunities may include:

  • Assisting with club events
  • Helping with REC programming or clinics
  • Mentoring younger players
  • Field or tournament support
  • Community outreach initiatives
  • Other approved club service opportunities

Hours must be completed by the deadline established by the club. Failure to complete required hours may impact future financial assistance eligibility.

Parent/Guardian Expectations

Parents/guardians are expected to:

  • Support club values and policies
  • Maintain respectful communication with coaches, referees, and club staff
  • Ensure players arrive on time and prepared
  • Communicate financial or scheduling concerns proactively when possible
Agreement

The club reserves the right to review or revoke financial assistance if expectations outlined in this agreement are not met. By accepting financial assistance, the player and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the expectations outlined above.
